Archive - The spitters

Oh no. It happened again. The person walking in front of me spat. Right in the middle of the road. Normally from the body language I get a hint as what's coming up. This one was a blinder. No clues and I almost stamped on it.

I tell people that I love living in India as I have the freedom to spit wherever I want to. What I meant by that is one need not be over sensitive to others inconvenience i...n my motherland. But definitely not to this extend.

My dear fb friends, I know none of you spit on road. Those who do spit may not know what fb is all about. The intent to write this here to urge all of you to tell them politely - I repeat- politely -not to do so if you witness such incident. I tried couple of times. I got a nasty stare back that conveyed much more than the message "yeh road thera baap ka maal hey kya" (translating to English for those who are from southest part of India - "Is this road your dad's property"). Don't I need to be fully inclusive in this !

Best of luck.
